For the ninth consecutive year, Hamby Catering & Events has committed to serving the hungry citizens of the Lowcountry a warm, delicious Thanksgiving meal through their partnership with the Lowcountry Food Bank. Each year, they are able to exceed the year prior based upon the Thanksgiving packages purchased by their loyal Hamby following of more than 43 years.
“Serving the community isn’t just something we do – it’s who we are,” said Hamby President and owner, Candice Hudnall. With just under two weeks to go till Turkey Day, Hamby is aiming to surpass the donations from previous years with a goal of 6,500 sponsored meals. “During the hectic time of both the holidays and event season, the Hamby team still acknowledges the greater purpose of our efforts when we are assembling our meals,” said Hudnall. “We’ve been blessed to experience a Thanksgiving meal each year in our own lives, and we look forward to extending the same heartening experience for many more Lowcountry families in the coming weeks.”
Hamby is also looking to extend their reach by partnering with two local influencer personalities, with a main goal being to further their philanthropic efforts. In the coming weeks, hearty and delicious content will be coming from both Ryan Smith of A Polished Palate and Elise DeVoe of Cookin’ with Booze.
