RALEIGH and COLUMBIA—Carolinas credit unions this week have launched digital-first messaging inviting consumers in both states to Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union, the Carolinas Credit Union League (CCUL) and Credit Union National Association (CUNA) announced today.
Built on extensive research, the Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union national initiative is designed to raise consumer consideration of credit unions as a category and dispel consumer myths associated with the ability to join and access to money.
Consumers who engage with Open Your Eyes messaging will move to yourmoneyfurther.com and find more on what drew their interest, such as credit union background and benefits, as well as finders for nearby credit union locations and ATMs/shared branches.

Thus far, 26 credit unions in the Carolinas have committed $6.83 million over the next three years to the category-focused initiative.
