Operation Home Receives $4,000 Grant From Volvo Car US Operations Grants program

Operation Home announced today a $4,000 grant from Volvo Car US Operations. The grant, administered by the Coastal Community Foundation of SC, will support critical home repairs for low-income Tricounty families.

“One out of every five households we serve has a child, nearly 90% have a disabled individual, and 60% include senior citizens,” said Operation Home’s Executive Director, Miriam Langley. “Volvo’s continued support of our mission will impact our community’s most vulnerable families.”

Operation Home has been serving the Tricounty for more than twenty years and serves more than 350 families annually through their critical home repair, wheelchair ramp and heat and cold relief programs. The average monthly income for Operation Home families is $1,139.
