Patriots Point Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members

Patriots Point Foundation is proud to welcome two new board members. Jay Seibels, Jr., pictured at left, is the managing partner of the Seibels Law Firm, PA. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is deeply involved in South Carolina’s captive insurance industry and serves on the boards of insurance related trade associations. Jay also serves as a lay Eucharistic minister at St. Michaels Anglican Church, and is a civil court mediator.

Andy Solgere, at right, retired as a Colonel from the USMC after 30 years of active service. A graduate of the Naval Academy, and US Naval War College, he holds a Bachelor's degree and two Master's degrees. He currently serves as an interpretive Park Ranger at Fort Sumter National Monument, volunteers at Patriots Point and is a member of the Parris Island Historical and Museum Society board.

Patriots Point Foundation is an all-volunteer 501c3, now in their 43rd year of operation. Over the years they have funded or helped to fund numerous exhibits at Patriots Point and most recently donated a six seat electric shuttle to help bring visitors to the ships. Their current project is supporting the Flight Academy and have voted to match all donations for the Flight Academy up to $5,000 individually or $25,000 total.
