Positively People to Host Wiley Showcase December 13; Attendees to Learn Techniques for Productive Conflict Management

CHARLESTON, SC – Workplace conflict costs managers one-quarter or more of their workweek, and costs the American economy $359 billion a year.

And while there’s no way to eliminate conflict entirely, there are ways to make those difficult exchanges more productive.

On Thursday, December 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza in North Charleston, Positively People will host the Wiley Corporation’s Everything DiSC® Productive Conflict Showcase, a hands-on training to equip managers and others to better handle the inevitable hiccups of human interaction.

For just $20 guests will receive a complimentary Productive Conflict assessment ($86 value), networking, peer-to-peer collaboration, take away materials, and more. Meanwhile, locally based host Positively People will provide one hour of free professional coaching using the results of the assessment to the first 10 individuals who register for the showcase.

Participants will receive on-site guidance on how best to manage conflict, given their own communication style (as identified through the Everything DiSC® system).

Talent Director of Tec Laboratories, Mike Burner, noted his team gained valuable insight from the workshop. “This training was by far the most productive, interactive and fun of all the DiSC system workshops we've done,” he said. “We found ourselves being open about our strengths and weaknesses and how we approach conflict. I absolutely recommend this training for any and all teams.”
