PST Training Charleston, Inc. Approved as CompTIA Authorized Partner

CompTIA, the non-profit trade association for the information technology (IT) industry, has approved PST Training Charleston as an Authorized Partner under the CompTIA Authorized Partner Program.

The CompTIA Authorized Partner Program is designed to help CompTIA business partners grow their business by recognizing them as leaders in their field through powerful sales and marketing tools, increased resources, and closer links to businesses seeking training providers. CompTIA works with educational and training entities around the world to achieve the common goal of providing IT professionals with the necessary skills to support the ever-evolving technology landscape. The selection process to join the partner program involves a rigorous audit on the standards of course offerings, training provisions, facilities, and overall customer care.

“As the Southeast's leader in IT and business skills training, PST has a main goal: to deliver the best training to our customers,” said Ingrid Tugwell, CEO of PST. “Our partnership with CompTIA is consistent with this goal, allowing us to enhance our training curriculum, and deliver a quality training service to our students that will in turn generate value in organizations and in society.”

As a member of the CompTIA Authorized Partner program, PST provides CompTIA-approved curriculum that is designed for the achievement of industry-recognized CompTIA certifications. As the IT industry’s largest developer of vendor-neutral IT certification exams, CompTIA certifications are recognized worldwide as a trusted indicator of qualified and competent professionals in the IT industry. In a competitive employment environment, CompTIA training and certification at PST Training Center will certainly give PST graduates an edge in getting a job offer.

“Industry certifications are important to obtain because they are important to employers,” says Tugwell. “As the unemployment rate decreases, the competitive job market increases. Individuals that achieve IT certifications-- and keep those certifications current-- help themselves not only increase their expertise, but also become more competitively marketable to employers.”

According to a 2018 report from Global Knowledge, 44 percent of IT decision-makers say certifications result in employees performing work faster, 33 percent said it results in more efficiency when implementing systems and 23 percent say it helps deploy products and services faster with fewer errors.
