CHARLESTON, SC - PURE Theatre is announcing their final show of Season 20, the southeast regional premiere of Compulsion: Or the House Behind by Rinne Groff. The show will run from April 20 - May 13 at the Cannon Street Arts Center (134 Cannon St, Charleston SC 29403).
Sid Silver is a man obsessed. When he learns about a young girl named Anne Frank and her extraordinary diary, Silver makes it his mission to ensure her tale is heard. But is the manuscript a work of art? A cultural treasure? Once publishers and producers get involved, it becomes “a very valuable product” — and his good intentions prove to be his undoing.
The show is directed by PURE Co-Founder and Artistic Director Sharon Graci and features Core Ensemble Members David Mandel, Camille Lowman and R.W. Smith.
