Quench Your Thirst at Friends of the Library Pint Night with Two Blokes Brewing

Love books? Love beer? Love books and beer? Come quench your thirst with a brew or two! For every pint sold at Two Blokes Brewing on Thursday, July 28 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., $1 will be donated back to Charleston Friends of the Library (CFOL). We will be accepting book donations, so please bring along any gently used books you would like to give! Empanada Cuisines will be there serving dinner at 5:00 p.m. Come mix and mingle with us, drink some beer and learn more about our services and how we support your local library.

“Stop by to learn more about CFOL and how over the past 40 years we have been advocating for Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) through financial support and spreading information about library services like the Summer Reading program,” said Nulani Bennett, CFOL Operations Manager.

CCPL Executive Director Angela Craig stated, “CCPL is profoundly grateful to have such a robust and dedicated Friends of the Library group. The book sales are legendary as are the CFOL volunteers who run them. CCPL library programs are directly impacted through Friends support. Essential library programs such as Summer Reading, food literacy and community access all benefit from the ongoing contributions of our wonderful Friends. Our Friends are essential to our success.”

Currently over 300 community members contribute annually to the Friends, and nearly 40 of these contributors actively volunteer their time to assist the group with preparing for all book sales fundraising efforts including the annual That BIG Book Sale and the multiple branch book sales held throughout the year.

Date: Thursday, July 28, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Two Blokes Brewing, 547 Long Point Rd Suite 101, Mount Pleasant, SC
