Reflections of Charleston Announces Expanded Suite of Residential Services

Reflections of Charleston, a locally-owned small business founded by Ollie Thompson and Zach Llewallyn in 2008, announced it has launched a new “Expanded Suite of Residential Services”. Initially, what began as a residential window cleaning and pressure washing business, Reflections of Charleston has grown to include interior and exterior painting and home remodeling to their list of services.

“Our business in the greater Charleston area has grown entirely by word of mouth over the years,” stated Ollie Thompson. “Our customers frequently asked if we could provide additional services due to our focus on quality, and the reliability of our work. We ultimately decided to focus on better educating ourselves and learning how to effectively handle all of our clients’ home maintenance needs. As a Licensed Residential Builder in South Carolina, we are customer-focused with a passion for communication and attention to detail. With clear lines of communication, we can schedule each project appropriately and deliver an outstanding product that exceeds our customer’s expectations and stays within their budget.”

Reflections of Charleston is on the forefront of an ever-evolving home care and remodeling industry. The Lowcountry area has been a hotbed of growth over the past few years, and maintaining the home’s appearance is important not only for the property owner but also for the very aggressive resale market. The company uses industry-leading equipment, environmentally-safe products and a comprehensive employee training program to ensure every customers’ home or business is properly cared for.

“Reflections acted as general contractor for a total redo of my newly purchased home,” stated a very satisfied Daniel Island customer. “They arranged all aspects of the six-week project with professionalism, efficiency, flexibility, and attention to detail. I never felt like it was just another ‘job’ for them. They truly cared about my comfort during the process and were as invested in the outcome as I was.”

Thompson added, “We have been fortunate to build relationships with so many great loyal customers while also acquiring new customers via word of mouth and grass roots marketing. We connected with some of the folks at BOLD Capital Group through our window cleaning and pressure washing service. We had some organic conversation on how we could expand our business and develop a synergy of services that would benefit homeowners. The team at BOLD came back with a great game plan including a new marketing and sales program, in addition to a redesigned website. Their investment and partnership has freed us up to do what we do well while growing our business at the same time. We have regularly scheduled meetings to review systems and operations. It’s been great to work with such creative people who share our goals. Business is building up steam! We’re actively recruiting for more staff and we’ve seen an uptick in business now with remodels including bathrooms, kitchens, pools, outdoor living spaces as well as additions and new construction."

Commenting on the investment in Reflections of Charleston, Kelly Engelbert, CFO of Daniel Island-based BOLD Capital Group stated, “We’ve known Ollie and Zach for a while and have always been impressed with their high-quality work and exceptional customer service skills. We know they have grown basically by word of mouth in the Lowcountry and customer satisfaction is the best form of new sales. We saw an opportunity to invest along with them, which is what we do, and to provide new marketing, sales and social media services plus assist in their financial needs such as reviewing each business segment, dealing with their banks and expanding their lines of credit to handle the growth. We are excited to be part of a local growing small business. We have investments in over a dozen companies, big and small, and enjoy providing advisory and consulting services to businesses helping them grow and reach their goals.”
