SACSCOC approves MS in Counseling Psychology accreditation

CHARLESTON, S.C. --The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges has approved accreditation of Charleston Southern University’s Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.

Coursework is taught from a distinctive Christian worldview and develops students to be clinically competent and biblically sound counselors. Three possible areas of clinical emphasis are available: Marriage and Family, Addiction Treatment and Christian Counseling.

The 60-credit-hour program includes didactic and clinical components. During the final year of the program, students will complete a practicum and internship. The MS in Counseling Psychology prepares students to sit for the National Certification Examination for Counselors.
