Scientific Research Corporation announces the hiring of Mr. Charles E. Adams as Senior Advisor at their Integrated Systems and Solutions Division in North Charleston, SC. In this capacity, Mr. Adams’ role with Division leadership is to analyze defense business trends, develop marketing plans and formulate strategies.

Previously, Mr. Adams served as the Senior Scientific Technical Manager and Department Head for the Fleet C4I and Readiness Department at Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic in Charleston, SC. In this role, he was responsible for providing leadership, management and engineering oversight for Command and Control, Communications, Computers, Networks, Information Assurance, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance programs and projects for the US Navy. He also had the responsibility of ensuring projects were executed to meet cost, schedule and performance requirements as specified by NAVWAR Program Executive Office for C4I programs and for the Fleet Readiness Directorate, which included systems design, engineering, systems integration, testing, production, implementation, software development, and life cycle engineering to include direct fleet support. He led a team of more 1600 engineers, scientists, technicians, logisticians, technical specialist and financial analysts.

Mr. Adams is a native of Gadsden, SC and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He was DAWIA PM Level III certified and a member of the DoD Acquisition Corps. Mr. Adams is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute, Navy Corporate Business Course and numerous military schools. He retired from the South Carolina Army National Guard with 33 years of service at the rank of Colonel.

Mr. Adams’ awards include the US Army Legion of Merit, Navy Civilian Meritorious Service Award, DoD Civilian Desert Storm Medal, US Army Commendations and many other recognitions to include letters of appreciations and team awards.

Mr. Adams is married to former Blondell Burnell and they have one son, Jesse.
