SeamonWhiteside, landscape architecture and engineering firm, sponsored and participated in their second Lowcountry Heart Walk with the American Heart Association.
SeamonWhiteside has raised over $27,000 to date in their efforts to support the American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease and stroke.
“Our involvement in the Lowcountry Heart Walk is a fun way for our company to draw attention to such a widespread issue and join the community in the fight against these diseases,” said Stuart Whiteside, Principal of SeamonWhiteside. “We’re proud to support of the American Heart Association and are looking forward to future involvement.
The Lowcountry Heart Walk is one way that the American Heart Association receives assistance in their mission to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent, while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020. The funds raised by contributors assist in the various activities that the American Heart Association takes part in, including improving patient care, advocating for better health, raising awareness, reaching out to populations at risk, educating Americans, and more.
SeamonWhiteside continues to support company involvement in events like the heart walk. In 2018, they also raised over $12,000 with their participation in the Palmetto 200 and over $11,000 with the Charleston Brain Tumor Walk. SeamonWhiteside enjoys getting involved with the community and setting even bigger goals for themselves.
