SERG Restaurant Group Offers Program to Support Lowcountry Food and Beverage Workforce

Since the COVID-19 novel coronavirus has shut down dine-in services at South Carolina bars and restaurants, food and beverage workers, whose hours have been dramatically reduced, have been the hardest hit. The Southeast Entertainment Restaurant Group (SERG) has decided to take matters into their own hands to offer financial support for the Lowcountry food and beverage workforce during the pandemic shutdown.

SERG is selling Community Strong VIP Packages and will earmark a portion of the proceeds to directly benefit hourly and salaried employees at their restaurants. The VIP Packages are available for sale at $250 each. The packages include a $100 SERG Gift Card and a Community VIP Card that will give cardholders a 25% employee discount at any SERG Restaurant for up to four people and a 10% discount at the SERG Takeout Kitchen with unlimited use from the time of re-opening until March 31, 2021.

“One hundred dollars of each sale will go directly to our employees during our forced business closure and will provide up to 4 weeks of financial support,” said Alan Wolf, SERG President and partner.

Additionally, $50 of each sale will be split between Bluffton Self Help and Deep Well on Hilton Head Island to assist food and beverage workers outside of the SERG Restaurant Group who are in need of financial support.

“The SERG Restaurant Group has set a goal of selling 10,000 Community VIP Packages to locals and visitors that will support the food and beverage workforce in the Lowcountry during this difficult time,” said Wolf, adding, “By reaching our goal $1 million will have been raised to directly benefit SERG team members in need of financial assistance and $500,000 will have been raised for the greater lowcountry food and beverage workforce in grants administered by Bluffton Self Help and Deep Well.”

The packages are available for sale at and will be mailed out to purchasing customers over the next 2-3 weeks. For more information visit SERG’s website or Facebook page at under ‘Offers’.
