Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic announced the selection of Ms. Ann Rideout as the SSC Atlantic Senior Scientific Technology Manager (SSTM) for Communication and Networks.
In this role Rideout will provide technical strategic leadership for the development, integration and deployment of Communications and Networks (C&N) capabilities from concept through fielding. She will be responsible for developing common processes, tools and solutions required for integrated and effective capability delivery. She will work closely with SPAWAR headquarters to strengthen the communications and network interface & interoperability standards and cybersecurity requirements efforts for the Department of the Navy.
Rideout brings a wealth of knowledge and experience acquired in more than 23 years of federal service. Since 1985, Rideout has served in numerous technical leadership roles at SSC Atlantic including Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) for Test Evaluation and Certification (TE&C) Competency, Acting lead for the Certification and Standards Verification Competency, Information Assurance (IA) Competency Manager, Deputy, Communication and Networks Engineering Competency, and most recently as Acting Communication and Networks Competency Lead.
Rideout holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University Potsdam, New York, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from American University. Additionally, Rideout has completed all requirements but dissertation toward a PhD in Systems Engineering at the University of Alabama, Huntsville. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Senior Executive Fellows Program and the Women's Executive Leadership Program.
Rideout holds several technical certifications including Defense Acquisition Corps Level III in Systems Engineering and Test and Evaluation, ISC2 Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified
Authorization Professional (CAP), GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) and PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
