CHARLESTON, SC - Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, has welcomed two professionals to its growing Environmental Services and Community Development practices in Charleston.
Denise Bunte-Bisnett, PE, PMP has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as a senior consultant in its Environmental Services business unit. She brings more than 30 years of professional engineering and project management experience in the public power sector having led cross functional teams in hydro licensing and compliance, and environmental permitting for major projects. During her career, Bunte-Bisnett has served on committees under the International Joint Commission St. Lawrence River Board of Control, as president of the board of directors for the US Society on Dams, and currently is the U.S. representative to the International Commission on Large Dams Committee on Prospective and New Challenges for Dams and Reservoirs in the 21st Century. Bunte-Bisnett is a resident of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a master’s degree in Water Resource Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
