Stantec’s Egan, Slagle pass professional registration exams

Mike Slagle

Andy Egan and Mike Slagle, both of Stantec’s Charleston, South Carolina office, passed their registration exams. Egan has passed the professional engineer exam and is now a licensed professional engineer in South Carolina and Slagle has passed the state landscape architect exam. Each has been with Stantec for over three years.

Egan has served as a traffic and transportation designer for the past five years. His experience includes temporary traffic control, signal timing and coordination, and addressing highway safety deficiencies. On one project of note, Egan worked on safety designs for more than 11 intersection projects throughout South Carolina that had above-average collision rates. The designs he produced help make for a safer and more efficient commute for drivers.

Slagle has spent the past five years planning multi-use parks, commercial spaces, urban, and residential areas. For Summers Corner Mixed-Use Development Project, he helped provide the master plan for this 6,000-acre development that aims to create a charming, small town feel with retail and a “main street”, but focused around a harmony and connectedness with nature. Recently, the project was awarded a PRISM award for Best New Community by the Charleston Home Builders Association.

“We mentor our younger professionals in many career paths that all end in one destination: success,” says Rick Day, Stantec Charleston’s transportation principal. “We are very proud of Andy and Mike as they continue to expand their professional skills and network.”
