The ARK receives $200,000 from Dorchester County Legislative Delegation

On Friday, Dec. 20, The ARK received a donation of $200,000 from the Dorchester County Legislative Delegation. With these funds, The ARK is officially more than halfway toward its goal of fundraising $600,000 for ownership of The ARK House. In attendance were ARK supporters, community partners, caregivers, donors, board members and staff.

The ARK provides Alzheimer’s support services to families in five counties: Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester and Orangeburg. The ARK’s dedicated staff members offer respite care, support groups, resource referrals, caregiver workshops, memory screenings and training sessions for caregivers as well as law enforcement and EMS.
