(BERKELEY COUNTY, SC) - The Berkeley Chamber Board of Directors’ welcomes Clarence Wright, Southern Division Manager – Gas Operations of Dominion Energy, as President of the 2021 Berkeley Chamber of Commerce. Wright succeeds Chris Stow, Maintenance and Engineering Manager of Nucor, who served as Berkeley Chamber President for 2019 and 2020.

“Serving as President of the Board for the last two years has been an honor,” said Chris Stow, Berkeley Chamber President 2019-2020. “The initiatives the Chamber works on for our members each day requires tremendous effort, which the Chamber staff executes flawlessly. I feel confident under Clarence’s leadership, the Chamber and Board of Directors will continue to serve our members and surrounding communities well. “

Following a year of dealing with COVID-19 and unprecedented challenges, the 2021 Board of Directors are ready to serve their members with their unique perspectives and business experience.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to lead this prestigious organization,” said Clarence Wright, Berkeley Chamber President. “I am excited about the opportunity to work with such a diverse and talented board as well as with Elaine and her dedicated and hard-working staff. Chris has been a great leader and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his two years of service. We will follow the path that he and last year’s board started, and we remain excited about the Chamber and its contribution to the business community as well as the surrounding communities.”

During 2020 the Chamber’s focus was working with businesses and communities to move through the COVID-19 crisis. During that time, our members well-being was the main priority of the Board of Directors.
