The Charleston Queer Prom

Charleston’s ONLY Adult Queer Prom takes place on Saturday, June 10 from 7-11 p.m. at The Gibbes Museum of Art! Tri-County-based nonprofit We Are Family hosts this annual event for the local LGBTQI+ community and allies to have a second chance at the prom experience they have always dreamed of. At this year’s Candyland-themed Prom, guests can expect to delight in signature sweets; candy-themed cocktails; live music and entertainment; an interactive photo booth presented by Maris DeHart; a special appearance by the sweetest queen of the candy world, Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 11 star, Shuga Cain; and an auction with unbelievable prizes donated by local businesses. All proceeds will benefit We Are Family’s mission to support LGBTQI+ youth in the Charleston area – so come ready to support the cause!

General Admission tickets include access to a variety of interactive activation stations; a full candy bar powered by Tanis J. Events; a free meet and greet with Shuga Cain; heavy hors d’oeuvres, bites and treats; unique photo opportunities; special access to event photos; one raffle ticket and one drink ticket.

VIQ (Very Important Queer) tickets include additional access to: a special VIQ area with premium open bar presented by Moët Hennessy; early entry to the event’s cocktail hour starting at 6 p.m.; early access to meet and greet with Shuga Cain; priority seating for live auction and performances; and 10 raffle tickets.
