The Rotory Club of Daniel Island and the Daniel Island Community Fund donated over 260 meals to families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston.

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Through the generous support of the Rotory Club of Daniel Island and the Daniel Island community Fund, 264 meals have been delivered to families staying at RMHC Charleston during this pandemic.

Meals were delivered from restaurants including Dockery’s, Daniel Island Club, Laura Alberts, Dog and Duck, Agaves Cantina, Daniel Island Grill, and Restaurante Lidi.

The well-being of families, volunteers, donors, and staff are RMHC Charleston’s top priority. To reduce the possibility of infection, volunteer programs have temporarily been suspended, including daily meals through the Meals that Heal program.

Thank you to everyone who has helped by donating, sponsoring, and delivering meals.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston opened its doors 36 years ago as a “Home-away-from-home” where families stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment. Here, parents and children lead a life as normal as possible during their traumatic times without the financial burden of costly hotel, meal, and travel expenses. Our home offers these families’ comfortable beds, hot meals, a caring staff, and a four-legged friend, Gardy, all just steps from the hospital.

You can help make sure families at RMHC Charleston are safe and fed by contributing now. Your gift will support operations at RMHC Charleston. Join us in fighting this fight and help us with the resources we are now losing.
