Trident Academy Welcomes New Administrators

For the new school year, Trident Academy in Mount Pleasant welcomes three new department directors.

Amanda Brodbeck, the new Director of Advancement, comes to Trident after serving in the same role for the past three years at The Cooper School in Charleston. Prior to her arrival in the Lowcountry, Amanda was the Director of Development at Nantucket New School, an independent school in Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University.

Erik Kreutner has joined Trident as Director of Admissions after serving in a variety of roles during thirty years at Charleston’s Mason Preparatory School, including eight years as Head of School. Erik earned his master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of South Carolina. He has also served on the board of directors of the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association and the Palmetto Association of Independent Schools and is the treasurer of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

Jennifer Mayser, Trident's new Business Manager, spent the past nine years with the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was the Business Manager for the Biomedical Informatics Center and the Grants Administrator for the Biochemistry Department. Prior to working at MUSC, Ms. Mayser was the Managing Director of the International Society of Hyaluronan Sciences and the Business Manager of Matrix Institute in Edgewater, New Jersey, and the International Operations Manager at Biomatrix in Ridgefield, New Jersey. Jennifer is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania

Trident Academy is a K-12 independent school in Mount Pleasant that, for nearly fifty years, has used the individualized, multi-sensory Orton-Gillingham approach to help transform the lives of students with dyslexia and/or other learning differences.
