The Frist Humanitarian Awards were created in 1971 and are a tribute to the lifelong dedication of Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Sr., to improving the lives of others. Dr. Frist is a founding member of HCA Healthcare, which includes Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center, Moncks Corner Medical Center, Colleton Medical Center and Centre Pointe ER.
