Two New Agents Join William Means Real Estate

Experienced real estate professionals Alex Brener and Andi McAfee have joined the team of agents at William Means Real Estate, one of the oldest real estate companies in Charleston and an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate.

As a lifelong resident of Charleston, Brener has a true appreciation of what it means to call the Lowcountry home. He is a graduate of the Porter-Gaud School 12-Year Society and Elon University Business School. For more than a decade, Brener was the founding owner and president of a private equity group focused exclusively on real estate projects. His background in real estate finance allows him to bring a unique perspective to the buying and selling process. From the knowledge of new and custom construction to flipping more than a dozen investment properties and investing in more than 100 single-family homes, Brener’s experience is invaluable when guiding his clients through the local market.

Brener lives on Sullivan’s Island with his wife and two young children. He enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, fishing and crabbing, and exploring Charleston’s many restaurants.

McAfee relocated from Atlanta to Charleston after falling in love with the city during her studies at the College of Charleston. One of her favorite aspects of working as an agent with William Means is building relationships with clients and meeting new people every day.

Before completing her degree at the College of Charleston, McAfee studied in Spain, then later worked for a coffee company in Medellín, Colombia. She is fluent in Spanish and has travelled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

McAfee lives in downtown Charleston where she enjoys walking the historic district, exploring new restaurants, and dancing flamenco.
