Charleston, S.C.- July 1, 2020- Folly Beach-based nonprofit Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) is excited to launch its 1st Annual Wave-a-Thon, giving surfers the chance to earn donations for every wave they catch this summer. All donations will go directly towards WSF’s Adaptive Surf Therapy, which provides Veterans with a free 12-week program to help them learn the critical life-changing skills of positive psychology, resiliency and strong mental health.
You don’t have to be based in Charleston to participate in the fun. From now through August 31, surfers across the country can register online and begin tracking the waves they catch. WSF encourages all surfers to share their personal fundraising pages with friends and family via social media, text and email so they can begin earning donations. Participants who raise $100 will earn a free WST t-shirt, while those who raise $200 or more will score a comfy WSF hoody.
