Wings for Kids Welcomes Three New Board Members

Charleston, S.C. – Wings for Kids, an education nonprofit dedicated to social-emotional learning, is thrilled to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Brad Little, Avis Umstead, and Mindelle Ziff.

“Brad, Avis, and Mindelle provide the perfect combination of experience, expertise, and empathy to support our mission and propel our organization forward,” said Bridget Laird, chief executive officer of Wings for Kids. “Their individual and collective talents are exactly what our Board of Directors needs to navigate the ever-changing ‘new normal’.”

Brad Little is a graduate of Cornell University who hails from Baltimore, MD. A passionate, experienced, and proven leader who develops talents and excels at solving problems and moving fast, Brad was most recently the President & General Manager of Payment Services at Blackbaud. Brad has previously held executive positions at Facebook, NM Incite, and The Neilson Company. In 2018, Brad and his family relocated to Charleston from London, UK where he remains a mentor for Parkinson’s UK.

Avis Umstead is a graduate of Tufts University and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Avis is the Director Senior Vice President Commercial Credit Review at TD. Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Avis has extensive experience in credit risk management with former executive positions at Susquehanna Bank, First Federal Bank, M&T Bank, and more. Avis also serves on the Board of Directors for My Sisters House.

Mindelle Ziff is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and a Charleston native who began her marketing career in New York City before returning to her hometown as an entrepreneur. Founder of Z18 Ventures, LLC, Mindelle currently consults and partners in strategic education, cause, and wellness initiatives. Previously the Founder and CEO of Kaleidoscope YFM, a youth, family, and millennial marketing agency aligned with Omnicom Group, Mindelle sold Kaleidoscope YFM to Gotcha Media Holdings, where she then served as President and CMO during the merger and integration. Mindelle is a Liberty Fellow and co-founded Push-Up & Up in support of Communities In Schools. She has served on boards for DIG South and Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, and is Communication chair for Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim.
