Reynolds Blankenship

Blankenship clerked for (later Chief) Justice Costa M. Pleicones of the South Carolina Supreme Court before entering private practice in 2006. He has worked at some of the most prestigious defense firms in South Carolina, but has also represented many injured plaintiffs throughout his career. He has handled cases in every type of court in South Carolina, at all appellate and trial levels, and has served as lead counsel in injury and non-jury trials throughout the state. Today, Blankenship focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs who have been injured due to the negligence of others or the sale of defective products.

Buckner has practiced law in Charleston his entire legal career, and his client work and relationships span nearly every county in South Carolina. Previously a partner at one of Charleston’s largest law firms, he now has a sole focus on litigation, handling matters at every level of South Carolina's court system with an emphasis on civil trial work. His background also includes handling cases involving wrongful death, personal injury, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, professional liability, civil rights violations, commercial litigation and consumer class actions.

Founded by David Yarborough and William Applegate, Yarborough Applegate has a history of obtaining life-changing results in complex cases involving serious injury, dram shop, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, traumatic brain injuries, and product liability, among others. Notable recent cases and settlements include a $6M settlement reached in the drowning of a three-year-old boy in an apartment complex pool in Hanahan, a $6.05M settlement for a traumatic brain injury victim caused by a car crash involving a flatbed trailer and a $1.85M settlement reached in a dram shop suit following the death of a 24-year-old man killed by a drunk driver. The addition of Blankenship and Buckner will continue to position Yarborough Applegate as the state's premier personal injury law firm. Yarborough Applegate will celebrate its tenth anniversary in January 2020.
